NEPHILIM MIDNIGHT LIGHTNING: 60" x 27" White Matte Metal w/ Floating Gold Frame

Captured at exactly midnight along the shores of Lake Como during a violent summer storm, Nephilim Midnight Lightning emerged from a rare and fleeting moment where the landscape felt suspended between beauty and chaos. Standing alone by the water, Matthew set up a Leica DSLR and M Frame lens to create a 30 second open exposure as lightning moved across the horizon in the distance.

The resulting image transformed the darkness into something almost cinematic. The clouds stretched across the sky like massive tapestries hanging over the lake while sheets of rain drifted through the mountains beyond view. Subtle fractures of lightning reveal themselves throughout the composition, giving the scene an unmistakable tension and energy.

The longer the storm moved across the water, the more the environment carried an almost otherworldly presence, as though something ancient was about to emerge from beyond the illuminated horizon.
